The Instrumentation Development Workshop (IDW) is a facility within the Department of Earth Sciences used for the development, production and calibration of research apparatus. This facility consists of precision machine tools and calibration equipment.

The Instrumentation Development Workshop is an integral part of the experimental laboratories of Earth Sciences. The facility is used by Experimental Officers, technical staff, research staff and students, and plays a key role in the research by giving the laboratories the unique ability to develop and build its own prototype experimental apparatus.

If you require any engineering support, please fill out a job requisition form from the department's Engineering Scheduling Forum's (ESF) intranet link.
