The Earth Sciences experimental laboratories have set up a coring and grinding facility within the departments' rock cutting Laboratory. This is an in-house facility offering a range of sample impregnation, cutting, grinding and polishing services for the preparation of geological samples. giving us the capability of producing rock samples ranging from simple cylindrical geometries to complex fracture mechanics geometries.
